  1. Agr Eco Care: Agro-ecological Life on the Island
    • Objective:Promote sustainable living practices and care for the environment through community-based initiatives on the island focused on the elderly.
    • Key Activities: Educational workshops, community engagement sessions focusing on ecological practices, and collaborative events.
    • Expected Outcomes: Increased awareness of sustainable practices and development of new strategies for agro-ecological care for the elderly (page 16).
  2. Summer School: Creative and Educational Activities for Children
    • Objective: Foster local cultural and intellectual development through creative activities for children.
    • Key Activities: Drama, robotics, literature, and art workshops conducted at the Cultural Center in Blato in collaboration with local partners like Atento and Likovno Stvaralaštvo Vele Luke.
    • Expected Outcomes: Strengthened community ties and continuity of cultural activities (page 18).
  3. Enhancing Sustainable Development on Korčula: Mapping Agri-Food Value Chains
    • Objective: Analyze and map agri-food value chains on the island of Korčula (case study of Vela Luka) to boost sustainable development.
    • Key Activities: Field research, stakeholder workshops, and data collection to identify optimal agricultural practices.
    • Expected Outcomes: Detailed reports, policy recommendations, and stronger links between stakeholders (page 20).

  1. SEE LEADER: 1st International Conference on Practical and Theoretical Implications of the LEADER Approach
    • Year: 2019
    • Partners: LEADER Network Croatia, CIHEAM-IAMM
    • Objective: Discuss the implementation of the LEADER approach in new EU member states.
    • Key Activities: Panels, presentations, and workshops in Pula.
    • Outcomes: Established MIRO’s presence in EU rural development and strengthened ties with stakeholders.
  2. High Nature Value (HNV) Agriculture Framework
    • Year: 2018-2019
    • Partners: French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA), University of Osijek, LAG Brač, LAG Škoji, LAG 5
    • Objective: Develop and implement indicators for assessing agro-ecosystem health on Dalmatian islands.
    • Key Activities: Collaboration with French and Croatian partners to create a vision for HNV agriculture and landscape management.
    • Outcomes: Established a foundational framework for agro-environmental strategies tailored to Mediterranean islands, validated by local stakeholders.
  3. Creative Workshops for Children
    • Year: 2021-2024
    • Partners: Novi Otok, Atento, Likovno Stvaralaštvo Vele Luke, local schools in Vela Luka & Blato
    • Objective: Foster creativity and skill-building in children from island communities.
    • Key Activities: Art, drama, and interactive educational activities for children conducted through MIRO’s partnerships with local cultural institutions in Blato and Vela Luka on the island of Korcula.
    • Outcomes: Empowered youth with creative skills and established a strong cultural presence on islands.
  4. GEOPOP: Geographical Indications for Island Products
    • Year: 2019-2020
    • Partners: INRAE, University of Osijek, Slow Food Balkans, LAG 5
    • Objective: Map local island products and evaluate potential for geographical indication certifications.
    • Key Activities: Desk research to identify local producers, assess supply chain dynamics, and design strategies for waste valorization and enhanced production capacities.
    • Outcomes: Initial mapping of potential market positioning for island products and supported producers in achieving recognition for geographical indications.
